For you to be able to edit content, you will need to login with a two-step process. Adding images or other files requires additional access to RU VPN if you are not directly connected to the RU network.
The first login is to gain access to the RU digital environment. This is done using a single username/password pair that is shared by everyone. If you do not know these credentials, ask anyone on our team.
The second login is to edit. For this everyone has their own individual username and password. If you do not have this (or do not remember your credentials) please email Gregory House, the LaCava lab manager at RU (ghouse@rockefeller.edu). If you don't have direct access to the RU network, you should also turn to Greg for requesting VPN access.
The Wiki only allows for one active editor at any given time. To resolve this without issue without losing any content, the login system only allows editing to one person at any given time. If someone else is logged in, you will see a message. NEVER force log someone out without verifying with him or her that they are done editing, even if you are “certain”.
After logging in, make sure to first change your name in $:/status/UserName . This will allow the system to connect to your name to any changed content and will allow anyone to trace back any changes to the right person.
